The correct use of pliers

Do not use the pliers handle as the pliers head.

The use of pliers is operated with the right hand. Place the jaws facing inward for easy control of the cutting area. Use your little finger to reach between the two handles to press against the handles and open the jaws, making it flexible to separate the handles.

There are various specifications of wire pliers commonly used by electricians, including 150, 175, 200, and 250mm. Can be purchased according to the needs of internal or external job types. The teeth of pliers can also be used to tighten or loosen nuts.

The cutting edge of pliers can be used to cut the rubber or plastic insulation layer of flexible wires.

The cutting edge of pliers can also be used to cut wires and iron wires. When cutting No. 8 galvanized iron wire, the blade should be used to cut back and forth around the surface a few times, and then only a gentle pull is needed to break the wire.

Cutting edges can also be used to cut hard metal wires such as wires and steel wires.

The insulated plastic tube of the pliers has a voltage resistance of over 500V, and with it, it can cut wires with electricity. Avoid littering during use to avoid damaging the insulated plastic pipes.

Do not use pliers as a hammer.

Do not use pliers to cut double stranded live wires, as it may cause a short circuit.

When using pliers to wrap the clamp to fix the cable, the pliers grip the wire with their teeth and wrap it clockwise.

Repair pliers, commonly known as pointed nose pliers, are also one of the commonly used tools for electricians, especially for internal line electricians. Mainly used for cutting single and multi stranded wires with finer wire diameters, as well as for bending single stranded wire joints, peeling plastic insulation layer, etc.

The operation method for bending wire joints with pointed pliers is to first fold the wire head to the left, and then bend it clockwise to the right against the screw. The pointed pliers are slightly modified and can be used as wire stripping pointed pliers. The method is to use an electric drill to drill in the front section of the cutting edge used for wire cutting in pointed nose pliers? 0.8? Two 1.0mm slot holes, and then slightly expand them with 1.2mm and 1.4mm drill bits respectively. Note: do not expand them through, so that these two slot holes have a thin edge. In this way, a pointed nose pliers that can both cut and strip wires has been changed to! Stripping pliers are one of the commonly used tools for internal line electricians, motor repair, and instrument and meter electricians. It is suitable for peeling plastic, rubber insulated wires, and cable cores. The usage method is to place the wire to be peeled into the cutting edge of the pliers, pinch the two pliers handles by hand, and then loosen them, and the insulation skin will detach from the core wire.

Pliers

Pliers are tools used for fastening, and some pliers also have a cutting function. There are many types of pliers, but they all have a part for clamping materials, called a “pliers”. The jaws are controlled by a lever, which can generate a significant clamping force. Instructions for using pliers:

① In general, the strength of pliers is limited, so they cannot be used to perform tasks that ordinary hand strength cannot achieve. Especially for smaller or ordinary pointed nose pliers, using them to bend high-strength bar materials may damage the jaws.
② A typical wire pliers have three cutting edges, which can only be used to cut iron wire and cannot be used to cut steel wire.
③ The pliers handle can only be held by hand and cannot be applied with other methods of force.
